The Joy of Dance studio, located in The Playter Society Building (built in 1909), is the site
of a former dance hall.
In the 1930's, it was the place to dance to big name bands, such as Guy Lombardo's orchestra. During the Golden Age of Tango in Argentina, when the famous tango orchestras hit their peak, people were also dancing to their own favourite bands right here in Toronto. Hope you can come out and
be part of the dancing tradition at Palermo Tango Club!
